In Mulwala we visit a park right on the waters edge. Lake Mulwala Holiday Park is situated on the banks of the 20k.m. iconic Lake Mulwala. A real water lovers paradise awaits. The appeal of this park is the fact that they cater for all budgets. Whether you travel with an RV, tent or prefer cabins they have you covered. We meet a couple that are half way through their first trip together to Mulwala, and they are loving it.

Tania then takes to the water on the hunt for the elusive Murray Cod with the help of ace angler Tony Bennett, she then finds time to board the Paradise Queen, a refurbished paddle steamer that adds drama to the waterscape. Rounding off her stay at the park she meets Pete the ski instructor, if you don’t know what you are doing when you hit the water, Pete will fix you up in a jiffy.

Just over the road from the Park is TUN ZA FUN amusement park. Dodgem cars, trampolines and Crazy Cars are the order of the day and a great way to entertain the kids, and Tania, alike. Then we show you something a little different as Tania meets up with a family who have hired their caravan, for a well-earned trip away. They are in the market for a van but really wanted to sample the lifestyle before they commit the big dollars to purchasing one, so the ideal solution is to hire…and they are having a ball. The kids love watching Mum and Dad trying to back the van up when they hit base camp.

Before long we find ourselves in Deniliquin, home of the world famous Ute Muster. Tania quickly realises that there is more to Deni than boys in Blueies and Utes. Camp for the evening is Paringa Holiday Park another water lovers paradise with a real accent on skiing. What started life as a one star park has been lovingly restored to boast some of the most eye catching cabin designs yet seen on DDU. The pool area goes onto the tennis court which goes onto the basketball area, great colours and totally appealing for the kids.

We round out our tour in Moama at the Maidens Inn, where our weary traveller Tania finds time for a spa to relax. This park can even set you up with your very own houseboat, now talk about a range of accommodation. We have a chat with Vince one of the park managers who details exactly what to expect from your stay on the Murray.
