Series 5: Episode 11

On Air 24th July 2009 (Channel 9)
How does the thought of touring Tasmania in a Talvor Motorhome sound? If you are anything like us you would jump at the chance. Well that is exactly what we are doing for the next two weeks of Discover Downunder.

The good people at Talvor have provided us with four different motorhomes, so we are hitting Apple Isle in style. We start by jumping on board the Spirit of Tasmania, which they say is the start of every great trip and once on board it is hard to argue.

Once we have our convoy back on Terra Firma we begin our tour, with the help of Geoff our guide, in Deloraine. History is the order of the day in this beautiful Hamlet set on a crystal clear river. Michelle gets the low down on Bonneys Inn and Frank starts his own Tabernacle choir.

Back into the motorhomes and up the street to the Honey Farm in Chudleigh. Tasting over 50 types of Honey is a sweet tooth idea of bliss, throw in a brilliant skin care range, and multiple souvenir options and you have yourself a great attraction.

After cleaing our teeth and flossing we are underground at marakoopa caves. An eerie delight, stalagtites and stalagmites are breathtaking but hurry up gang or you will be taken by the cave trolls.

We finish up part 1 in Cradle Mountain where the scenery paints a vivid tale. Marvel at the grandeur and the elegance. We end up at Cradle Mountain Discovery Holiday Park and await take off for part 2.

Dean pops in to give us the low down on the first two of the Motorhomes we are travelling with and offers a gentle reminder to make the most of entering our competition as this is the last week.
