Has anyone bought the Camper Trailer Australia magazine? I'm looking to buy a camper around $12k, and I was wondering if it is a good place to start shopping.

Thanks!

Camper Trailer Australia is really good for new product tests and reviews, and even places to go and see. If you are in the second hand market you can always try Campervan and Motorhome Trader, Caravan Trader or even 4x4 & Campertrailer Trader. I use the latter to see how much campers are going for. I currently own an off road AussieSwag hard floor camper which has been brilliant.

We can thoroughly recommend the Aussie Swag hard floor camper/trailer as well. Although we recently sold ours and upgraded to a semi off-road caravan(age catches up with all of us eventually!) we were very happy with our Aussie Swag and went to many places we couldn't have in a van. The Gibb River Road in WA was one such place.
The combined kitchen sink and gas cooker setup is a real bonus, as, being able to be unclipped and swung parallel to the camper, it allowed maximisation of space. The hard floor was very appreciated on rainy days.

Good luck with your buying and adventuring!

check out Graysonline - they have had a camper trailer worth around the 30k mark for 16. Always worth looking at.

We are currently selling ours for $15,000 and it was custom built and here is the thing we have advertised in many ways possible and we havn't had any bites, so i can only suggest to you like we did and that is we hired out a few different types of camper trailers to get the hands on, on what to expect and then you get an idea of what you want and dont want in your trailer, every one is different, which is why we built ours to suit us and we love it dont get us wrong, just that we bought a caravan we are travelling nexr year and working, so we had to up grade. play it by ear dont rush. what ever you do make sure you get a good 15oz canvas. leanne

Hi there guys,
We have been looking into trailers in and around that price.... hard to go past GIC's Extreme Ranger with its independant suspension. This thing is a monster, 2.1m draw bar all the extra's you could possibly want. If you love your 4wd action you should see this thing in action! Only 11900 with its 18ft ultimate tent. Cant beat that! The tent is a bloody house too... 5 good size rooms if needed. I give it a huge wrap
