I have a black plastic (poly) water tank under the van..
It has 2 threaded holes for connecting fittings (3/8in) and it leaks like a seive.

I have recieved the van second hand and though that I would pull the bung from one and just refit the fitting in the other hole and amazing, the fittings leaks on that one as well..

It has some thread (no completely stripped) but even with a new fitting it does not tighten.
I have tried white teflon, but it just spins loose even worse..

I am considering using silastic, however, I am not confident that it will hold or completely seal...
The next step may be a new tank (not my choice)

Has anyone any better experience at these poly tanks and fittings?
