The NSW Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Holiday Supershow was awarded a prestigious Gold NSW Tourism Award in the Festivals and Events category at a gala dinner held at the Sydney Convention Centre in Darling Harbour on 19 November 2009.

The NSW Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Holiday Supershow is a nine day consumer event held at Rosehill Racecourse each year in April.

The event features over 300 exhibitors displaying caravans, motorhomes, camper-trailers, slide-ons, 5th wheelers, tents, camping and 4WD accessories and leisure products in addition to holiday destinations from across Australia.

Barry Baillie, CEO of the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) says that winning a Gold 2009 NSW Tourism Award is great recognition of the hard work undertaken by the staff at CCIA to stage the NSW Supershow annually to encourage greater regional tourism and consumer participation in the caravan and camping lifestyle.

“Each year the NSW Supershow attracts close to 80,000 visitors to Rosehill Racecourse to browse hundreds of caravan, RV and camping products and holiday destination exhibits from across New South Wales and Australia.”

“We are honoured to receive the NSW Tourism Award for the Supershow this year. We are proud of this annual event and also proud to promote regional tourism and support the local economy of Parramatta by drawing thousands of people to the area,” said Mr Baillie.

“The Supershow is successful due to the efforts of organisers and exhibitors each year that showcase the best of the caravan, RV and camping industry.”
