Travellers are gearing up to grab pre-summer sales at the South Coast Caravan, Camping & Holiday Expo from 6 to 8 November 2009 at Mackay Park in Batemans Bay.
Barry Baillie, CEO of the Caravan and camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) said that the South Coast Expo is a popular event each year that attracts visitors to browse a range of recreational vehicles, caravan and holiday park displays and tourism information.
“The South Coast Expo offers pre-summer holiday sales, where visitors can see the latest products from the caravan, RV and camping industries and buy at great prices.”
“Now with the abolition of stamp duty on caravans, camper trailers and 5th wheelers in NSW, it has never been a better time to buy these products and gear up for the summer holidays,” said Mr Baillie.
Caravan and camping tourism is the fastest growing domestic tourism sector in Australia and one that is leading the resurgence for tourism across the nation.
“Industry research tells us that 87 percent of Australians have stayed in a caravan park at least once. The camaraderie and true ‘Aussie’ experiences that you have as you travel the state and country is truly unique to caravan and camping getaways,” said Mr Baillie.
The South Coast Expo will feature exhibitors displaying the latest models of caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, campervans, 5th wheelers, camping equipment and tents, 4WD products and accessories, holiday destinations and tourist parks, and more for the avid traveller to browse and buy.
“Travellers can make an informed purchase decision at the South Coast Expo with such a variety of recreational vehicles, outdoor and leisure accessories and a range of holiday and tourist parks to browse and choose,” said Mr Barry Baillie.
With free parking, great entertainment for the young – and young at heart - the South Coast Expo is a great family fun day out with free parking for all visitors.
Celebrating its 8th year, the South Coast Expo drives tourism to the South Coast suburb of Batemans Bay and surrounds with an influx of around 13,000 visitors expected again this year.
