A Weekend In Williamstown

Hi everyone out there, thanks for the comments on our little adventures it is always nice to know someone is reading them. We had a weekend in Williamstown and did some bushwalking around the place and a drive as well, lovely little bakery in the town itself, had a nice delicious country pie, the bash cars were in town on the Saturday but unfortunately we only got to see the tail enders. Not overly impressed with the caravan park, don't get me wrong the owners / caretakers were very friendly but the park itself didn't have "a feel" about it and there was far too much possum poo and wee smell around our site for my liking, I don't think I could have stayed for longer than a night. Some caravan parks have a lovely feel about the place and others don't, for us anyway, not sure how other people judge their stays, the facilities were clean and tidy so I couldn't fault that, it is only a small park nestled in amongst the trees which sounds nice enough but it didn't do it for us. On the Sunday we went to The Wispering Wall and I at last have conquered my fear of walking across it (I don't like heights) with the help of my partner I just about cut the circulation off his hand but I did it, I need to keep practising as we are going to Tassie in October this year and I really want to do the Tahune Air Walk. Anyway cheers everyone, not sure where we are venturing to for September but will let you know after we have been. Happy travels everyone.

Hi Shazzy,
I grew up at the whispering wall and actually work there now. years ago there was not even a fence on the water side of the wall and just a chain on the long drop side. we used to ride our bikes flat out across there and never thought of the consequences. now i even get jelly legs walking across it daily. Williamstown is not a place to stay for llong periods, i have stayed at the caravan park only after a bignight at the wine bar, better then driving.

Happy travels,
Lincoln.
