| One thing about our travel habits ,is that we are very connected to the sea and coastal regions .We all share the unique opportunity to be able to experience and do so many things that others in the world can only dream about .
So why not, while camped at a stream, river ,or in one of the many parks by the sea, decide to take a walk , take the rod and pack let's go and explore. Spin fishing today with the new, light weight balance combos makes carrying a rod and real easy .Along with the development of artificial bait (plastic's, lurers ) the need for fresh bait is now not a issue, so a walk with rod in hand, is a simple thing to do for it's not really about catching a fish, but you most likely will. What's it about you may asked then? It's about looking within the greater landscape, the things ones sees while looking at the world with a macro lens mind set .This just happens when spin fishing, while yo ... | | | Comments (0) | More... |

| Start of the day, wake up, prepare and brief crew for the day's shoot.Traveling this involves some 90 minutes of unrelenting never changing scenery just to get to work.

Location just some rock in the ocean. Off the north coast of western Australia, conditions marginal !!!! Looks to me the guys are up for a long day in the office .
Shane slaving away under less than desirable conditions ,he's trying to work out, How to fold space!! Then the shot list he's been given by me won't look so impossible Me in one of them gee I'm really don't wish to be here look, while wondering if Shane has so ... | | | Comments (2) | More... |

| Marron delight | |
| By Ian hollow on27/04/2008 3:46 a.m. | |
| | Its school holidays, again? so soon ? you sure about that I hear many parents exclaim with shock and horror my case its the best time for its time when Michael ,one's son comes to see dad and I would not miss the time spent with Michael for any thing . Marron session is upon us, a short time held in the early part of the year normally for about two weeks and licence are required . Is it on says Michael can we go Marroning ? why not I say to myself ,Shane's just dropped in some of them Mandurah king prawns he got last night."Grab the drop nets along with some bait ,don't forget the light Michael." I yell out ! Marron spots are some of the best kept secrets around normally they require some effort just to get to the waters edge . Down gravel tracks picking the easiest path around rocks and holes ,still being tossed about as we travel to the water's edge.

| Taking a good fish Photo | |
| By Ian hollow on17/04/2008 11:56 a.m. | |
| | Simple rules to follow For the ideal fishing picture there are several things to keep in
mind. First it is a recording of a catch you are proud of and you may
not get a chance to retake the picture. Commit a few extra moments to
make it a great fishing picture. (1)White balance the camera
(2)Take the picture straight away for the color of the fish is at its best when alive. (3)If there is blood on fish wipe it clean.
(4)Get plenty of light on the subject. (5)Feature the fish first, then the angler. Hold the fish so your hands and arms don't block the view of the fish.
The best fishing photos feature the fish
(6)By adding
related items to the picture,it will add interest and perspective to your fishing picture (

| | Hi Ian here, A mad keen fisherman. The drive to these inspiring places gets the imagination going ,what's the weather going to be like ? Are the tides going to be kind ? What if the wind is up ? Are the fish on the bite ? One has a lot of time to ponder on these and other serious matters on the 10 hour drive in the wee hours of the mourning with only the head lights for company . Arriving at Nanga Resort with eyes hanging out but a smile from ear to ear we are here. .After seeking out our favorite spot we set up camp .Shane has made the coffee and already has checked out the water and Shane's excitement and smile tells me that the weather gods have smiled on us for we are here in search of the famous monster Pink snapper . I cast my mind back when we first came here ,thought we knew it all re snapper ,may be so in other places but we found out we was as green as the trees we camped under .We have educated our selves since then with the advice from the older wis ... | | | Comments (2) | More... |
