Kapunda Trip
New Commers to the Block By Shazzy May on22/06/2008
Shazzy May and Co finally got to go to Kapunda on the long weekend in June and what a delightful caravan park they have there. It is a very laid back park but that is what we like and there is plenty of bird life because of all the trees around the park. The vistior information centre is also an excellent place full of wonderful information and great staff. We took our push bikes this time and had great fund riding around the area. The weather was kind to us on the Saturday for our ride around the area. Sunday was overcast but still very pleasant and we again ventured out on the push bikes and had a barby at the park. When it did rain we ventured into the museum there and what a delight it is one of the best museums we have been to and spent nearly three hours there taking in all they had absolutely brilliant and if anyone is going to Kapunda please take the time to visit this place and it also a great price to enter will fit anyones budget. Monday we packed up and then went for a drive to ...

Take a walk/ spin fish.
Travelfishtv By Ian hollow on25/05/2008 12:35 p.m.
One thing about our travel habits ,is that we are very connected to the sea and coastal regions .We all share the unique opportunity to be able to experience and do so many things that others in the world can only dream about .

So why not, while camped  at a stream, river ,or in one of  the many parks by the sea,  decide to take a walk , take the rod and pack let's go and explore.

Spin fishing today with the new, light weight balance combos makes carrying a rod and real easy .Along with the development of artificial bait (plastic's, lurers ) the need for fresh bait is now not a issue, so a walk with rod in hand, is a simple thing to do for it's not really about catching a fish, but you most likely will.

What's it about you may asked then?  It's about looking within the greater landscape, the things ones sees while looking at the world with a macro lens mind set .This just happens when spin fishing, while yo ...

Timing is everything
Caravan World Editorial By The CW editor on16/05/2008 5:19 p.m.

They say time is fleeting and no doubt it’s a notion readers can relate to – who hasn’t looked at their watch or the clock in their RV and wondered what happened to the day?

Fleeting, yes, but the more of it that passes – regardless of how quickly – the more memories we collect. And the more vivid the memory, the closer it seems in time.

A day's work in Broome ,welllllllll it is Broome !!
Travelfishtv By Ian hollow on15/05/2008 12:43 a.m.
Start of the day, wake up, prepare and brief crew for the day's shoot.Traveling this involves some 90 minutes of unrelenting never changing scenery just to get to work.

Location just some rock in the ocean. Off the north coast of western Australia, conditions marginal !!!! Looks to me the guys are up for a long day in the office .

Shane slaving away under less than desirable conditions ,he's trying to work out, How to fold space!!  Then the shot list he's been given by me won't look so impossible

Me in one of them gee I'm really don't wish to be here look, while wondering if Shane has so ...

First Trip
New Commers to the Block By Shazzy May on29/04/2008
Well our first trip to Brighton was a success, our old little van did us proud, (even though some people laughed at it) there are only a few things we will change inside the van. We did not get in each other's way at all and it felt very natural to us to be in the van. The caravan park we stayed at was right on the beach front, and was clean with reasonable facilities and not too expensive. We enjoyed the walk along the beach on both days (one day in between the rain). We were lucky enough to spot a dolphin as we were walking along the Brighton Jetty. It was stormy and wet on and off on the weekend but we did enjoy the R & R and the fish and chips by the beach. I actually think the beach is the best place to be in the cold and wet. We are now planning our next jaunt which at this stage looks like Kapunda in May sometime.

Marron delight
Travelfishtv By Ian hollow on27/04/2008 3:46 a.m.
Its school holidays, again? so soon ? you sure about that I hear many parents exclaim with shock and horror my case its the best time for its time when Michael ,one's son comes to see dad and I would not miss the time spent with Michael for any thing .

Marron session is upon us, a short time held in the early part of the year normally for about two weeks and licence are required .

Is it on says Michael can we  go Marroning ? why not I say to myself ,Shane's just dropped in some of them Mandurah king prawns he got last night."Grab the drop nets along with some bait ,don't forget the light Michael." I yell out !

Marron spots are some of the best kept secrets around normally they require some effort just to get to the waters edge . Down gravel tracks picking the easiest path around rocks and holes ,still being tossed about as we travel to the water's edge.
