| First Trip | | New Commers to the Block

| | Well our first trip to Brighton was a success, our old little van did us proud, (even though some people laughed at it) there are only a few things we will change inside the van. We did not get in each other's way at all and it felt very natural to us to be in the van. The caravan park we stayed at was right on the beach front, and was clean with reasonable facilities and not too expensive. We enjoyed the walk along the beach on both days (one day in between the rain). We were lucky enough to spot a dolphin as we were walking along the Brighton Jetty. It was stormy and wet on and off on the weekend but we did enjoy the R & R and the fish and chips by the beach. I actually think the beach is the best place to be in the cold and wet. We are now planning our next jaunt which at this stage looks like Kapunda in May sometime. | | | Comments (0) |

| | Its school holidays, again? so soon ? you sure about that I hear many parents exclaim with shock and horror my case its the best time for its time when Michael ,one's son comes to see dad and I would not miss the time spent with Michael for any thing . Marron session is upon us, a short time held in the early part of the year normally for about two weeks and licence are required . Is it on says Michael can we go Marroning ? why not I say to myself ,Shane's just dropped in some of them Mandurah king prawns he got last night."Grab the drop nets along with some bait ,don't forget the light Michael." I yell out ! Marron spots are some of the best kept secrets around normally they require some effort just to get to the waters edge . Down gravel tracks picking the easiest path around rocks and holes ,still being tossed about as we travel to the water's edge.

| | Hello we are newbies to the caravan world, we love travelling and bought ourselves an old round style caravan (Jurgen) and have been renovating it, it is still a work in progress but it is at the stage where we can use it and we are going on our first trip this coming long weekend to Brighton Caravan Park. We have even given the caravan a name Daisy (my children now call us Ma & Pa). Looking forward to some wonderful trips in Daisy to discover parts of South Australia. It is great to be a tourist in your own state, will post our little adventures here and hopefully some time soon a photo or two. | | | Comments (2) |

| Taking a good fish Photo | | Travelfishtv

| | Simple rules to follow For the ideal fishing picture there are several things to keep in
mind. First it is a recording of a catch you are proud of and you may
not get a chance to retake the picture. Commit a few extra moments to
make it a great fishing picture. (1)White balance the camera
(2)Take the picture straight away for the color of the fish is at its best when alive. (3)If there is blood on fish wipe it clean.
(4)Get plenty of light on the subject. (5)Feature the fish first, then the angler. Hold the fish so your hands and arms don't block the view of the fish.
The best fishing photos feature the fish
(6)By adding
related items to the picture,it will add interest and perspective to your fishing picture (

| | Hi Ian here, A mad keen fisherman. The drive to these inspiring places gets the imagination going ,what's the weather going to be like ? Are the tides going to be kind ? What if the wind is up ? Are the fish on the bite ? One has a lot of time to ponder on these and other serious matters on the 10 hour drive in the wee hours of the mourning with only the head lights for company . Arriving at Nanga Resort with eyes hanging out but a smile from ear to ear we are here. .After seeking out our favorite spot we set up camp .Shane has made the coffee and already has checked out the water and Shane's excitement and smile tells me that the weather gods have smiled on us for we are here in search of the famous monster Pink snapper . I cast my mind back when we first came here ,thought we knew it all re snapper ,may be so in other places but we found out we was as green as the trees we camped under .We have educated our selves since then with the advice from the older wis ... | | | Comments (2) | More... |
