Ratbag, how far from Darwin are you planning on heading? Most places are in fairly easy reach from Darwin unless you're heading remote. Last trip we rented a KIA 4WD and day tripped out. Was fairly cheap through Thrifty and could pick up and drop off car from the airport.

Hi Bear - thanks for the Kea tip - didnt even think of them! Great idea and way more self-sufficient than Thrifty!

Do you already have your trip set out? Let me know when you're planning on leaving and I can suggest a few places to check out. I've also put a few pics up in the gallery and will see what else I can put up.

You'll love it mate. When it gets close, drop me an email to bear@roaminangler.com.au and I can put you onto a few spots in the city and around.

HTH.
