Ok thats a start now if it was my self doing this trip and with my interests (not sure of yours) from Shepparton (donot forget to go out to SPC at Mooroopna) cut across country to Yarrawonga then to Wodonga / Albury
take the Olympic Hwy to Wagga Waga. The RAAF base has set up a museum there, very pictures gardens in the town, from Wagga Waga up to Temora, one of this towns draw cards is the museum set up by David Lowey (farther set up westfield shopping centres) out at the local airfield (ex WW2 training station) on certain w/end during the month they actually have flying days where the museum's airworthy a/c strut their stuff, but if you are not there on a flying w/end just a tour of the museum is more than worth the viist, from Temora up to the Mid West Hwy then to Forbes (worth a stop at the R/way station arts and craft etc then to Parkes.
No I 'm not tied up with tourism just an aviation enthusiast and historian my wife and I enjoy caravaning, if I can help more geoffachat@bigpond.com 0882651727
