RIVER LADY TOURS - NSW
In the bygone days, paddle steamers travelling from Goolwa on the Murray to Bourke on the Darling, helped to open up inland Australia, making it a major transportation route for wool.  Today you can enjoy the unspoilt serenity of Australia’s longest river which is abundant with native birds, animals, fish and yabbies. Malcolm and Pat have run RIVER LADY TOURS for nearly 10 years and with Malcolm who is passionate about the river as your skipper you are sure to enjoy a very educational and informed tour. Menindee (population approx 900) was the first town to be established on the Darling River. The tour starts from here and goes for approximately 1 hour and is suitable for all ages. You’ll cruise the ancient Darling River, take in the glorious sites and learn about the Barkindji people who once roamed this beautiful area. This RIVER LADY tour is a fantastic way to see yet another beautiful part of Australia. Remember to bring a camera so you too can capture its beauty.
