Saffron and Lemon Marinade
An excellent marinade for seafood or lamb. Â - 1/3 tsp saffron threads
- 1 tbsp warm water
- Juice of half a lemon
- A couple of strips of lemon zest
- (use a peeler on the lemon)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 cup olive oil
Mix the saffron threads with the warm water and allow to stand for a couple of minutes. Now add the rest of the ingredients as well as the saffron water to the container that you will be marinating in. Stir well and add the meat or seafood that you will be marinating.
