Projecta Solar Kits
Battery-accessory specialist Projecta in Knoxfield, Vic, produces a range of ready-to-use polycrystalline solar panel kits aimed at maintaining large batteries and extending battery run time when travelling. The compact 40W and 60W sizes will maintain and charge batteries used to power small to medium appliances such as camp lights and accessories. The more powerful 80W and 120W kits are designed for larger batteries servicing larger or multiple appliances.
Each kit is equipped with fold-away support legs and an inbuilt solar controller to maintain the battery in a charged state while protecting it from overcharging, and comes with a 10m lead with battery clips for immediate connection and operation. The two larger kits also include a Merit and Anderson plug to allow easy connection to pre-wired battery systems.
They feature tempered low-iron glass and are fitted with a heavy-duty alloy frame. A padded carry bag is also part of the package.
