Hose Bag
Storing water hoses is one of those niggly things you never quite get around to figuring out a better way of doing. We featured one take on a solution in our Bright Ideas a few issues ago, in fact.
Don’t want to bother with making your own? David and Judy Muller have done the work for you this time. They manufacture The Hose Bag, designed primarily for coiling and stowing of the potable water hose although it can stow other hoses such as sullage hose, grey water diverter hose, standard garden hose, air hoses and flexible electrical conduit.
Made from from a sturdy mesh fabric comprising 70% polyethylene and 30% polyester, it is stitched with rot-proof thread and is mould resistant and UV-stabilised. All this allows it to be durable yet light and flexible.
The sides and front permit any residual water remaining in the hose to drain out while coiling the hose and at the same time allow the user to see how much space remains in the bag. The Hose Bag can then be stowed away neatly in the same storage space every time. It will maintain the same size and shape as it was when last stowed.
It is great for storing up to 20m of stiff potable water hose with all fitting remaining on the hose.
